Deerfield Library
1. Introductions were made from all in attendance
2. Financials: checkbook $19,319.49 approx. $6,173 allocated to N/S
3. Review of the goals for the year:
o Strengthen organization; increase involvement and increase visibility
o Connect parents, teachers and administrators
o Fundraise in support of schools
4. Thank you’s were given to:
 POC who organized the Playground play around (rain out options will be considered next year)
 Back to school picnic organizers – Dani Ladwig and Shelli Janning
 Directory – a great start! – Denise Ray and Chantalle Galbraith

5. Meeting dates for the year:
 3rd Mon. in October @ Deerfield
 3rd Mon. of Feb (teaching your child to read), March and April @ North
6. Upcoming events:
 Parent Teacher Conference meals – Wed. Sept. 21 – sign up sheets were passed and Volunteer Spot was discussed
 Carnival – Sept. 30 – Shelley Thompson, Kristine Campbell – request for volunteers to help set up
 Mornings with Mom – Oct. 13 and 14th – in need of a chair
7. Fundraising
 Younkers Community Days – a table will be set up at the Carnival and Cece will complete a fundraising application for the district if we are going to send home order forms
 Labels for Learning – Sept. 27 – 7pm @ Fernandos – clipping party (bring your own scissors)
 Blair Gear – an order form will be coming home in Oct.
